When I search for a hotel
or rent a car am I looking at real availability and can I book online?
When
you are searching for a hotel or car at madeiraguide.com you are essentially
looking through brochure pages and will not, yet, be looking at real time
availability. We have chosen this method because as a specialist company
we take pride in our ability to offer informed advice and have therefore
decided against a fully automated online booking system. However, if you
would like to check availability, make a reservation or discuss your holiday
options please contact us (see below) and a knowledgeable member of our
agency will respond by phone or email as soon as possible.

What

Luckily the island
has a warm temperature year round, our high-season is from the 1st of
November till the 30th of April, which catches Christmas and New Year,
celebrated to the very full here.
If you want to catch some really hot days in Porto Santo (30o/+)the
best time to come is during the summer months.
Is Madeira a part of Portugal?
Yes, the arquipelago
is Portuguese although it has a special status of autonomous region. The
Judicial system is the same, the President of the Republic is the same
and the currency PTE escudo is also the same.
When
are the Festivals?
Chose any one or more
of these dates as a perfect time to visit the island:

& exhibitions

Most stores are open
from 10.00 until 23.00 in the Shopping Centres. Most of the other shops
on the Island are closed, including in the city centre. There are some
souvenir shops open on Sundays.
